Why Print-on-Demand?
Billions of merchandises are produced annually, while many may end up being overstock, and become wasted resources, not to mention the packaging materials that come with it.
With Print-on-Demand, merchandise is produced only when an actual order is placed, so unnecessary merchandises and packaging could be kept at a minimum.
Also, consumers may find specialty designs for certain niche, which may not be available from mass produced inventory, but this would not be a problem for Print-on-Demand.
I see it as a win-win-win-win situation, artists can focus on quality designs, producers can focus on producing quality merchandises, consumers now have a much wider selection to choose from, and we are all working together to minimize wasted resources and materials for our planet. WOW!
